Template guide
Weekly watch memo template for competitors & AI news
Track 3–5 companies or products every week in 20 minutes, without drowning in news.
The weekly routine
- Fix a universe of 3–5 entities and one decision question for the quarter.
- Monday: skim each entity’s official blog, changelog, release notes and pricing page.
- Write one line per entity — the signal, and why it matters to your question. “Nothing material” is a valid entry.
- Flag at most two follow-ups; promote them to a Snapshot Brief if needed.
- Log sources with access dates so next week’s memo can diff against this one.
